Tuesday, December 28, 2004 Henry and Katie are scheming to get Mike alone with Katie so that he overhears a phone call from "Simon" asking for a divorce. Jennifer suspects something is up and confronts Henry at the Lakeview Lounge. "You know what I did," repeats Henry. "I know exactly what you did, and I don't appreciate it, Henry, and trust me, Mike won't appreciate it either," says Jen. "Mike? Mike's busy. Mike's at work," lies Henry. "Mike's at Katie's, and you know it," says Jen. Henry gets up and tries to leave but Jen grabs his arm, knocking his cell phone out of his pocket. She tries to pick it up but he snatches it away, saying, "Don't -- don't touch that." "It's new. My phone. I have a thing about germs," says Henry as he tucks it safely back in his pocket. "You have crossed the line, Henry, and I don't like it," says Jen angrily. "What line have I allegedly crossed?" asks Henry innocently. "It is so obvious that you are trying to keep me here so that I won't go over to Katie's and interrupt her and Mike," says Jen. "Mike's at Katie's? I thought he was at work," says Henry. "So did I. But you knew where he was, Henry, and let's not pretend like you didn't. You were obviously campaigning a reconciliation despite the fact that Katie is married and Mike and I are happy. So I'm wondering why, Henry? Why are you causing trouble?" asks Jen. A woman approaches and answers, "Because he's a devious little deadbeat, that's why." "Suzanne! My little lucky charm!" says Henry, happy for the interruption. "Yeah. You stuck me with the hotel tab," she complains. "Did I do that? I'm sorry, Jennifer, I have to give this lovely young lady carfare," says Henry. "1,000 bucks, hotshot, and not a penny less," says Suzanne. "1,000? I didn't realize we had that much fun together. Let me consult my financial advisor over here. Barkeep? She needs to have a conversation with Mr. Johnnie Walker, all right?" says Henry, leading her away from Jen and over to the bar. Meanwhile, back at the cottage, Katie has confessed to Mike that she made a mistake choosing Simon over him. Mike agrees to stay even though he's uncomfortable, and Katie goes to make some coffee. Jen calls and tells him about her suspicious conversation with Henry, and he begins to figure out what's really going on. He hangs up the phone and confronts Katie, who admits her deception. She says she still loves him and wants to be with him, and begs his forgiveness. But he says he could never trust her again, and leaves. "I said 1,000, not 100," insists Henry's friend Suzanne. "You put those bad boys on 'Who's Your Mother' in the fifth, and you'll be taking a limo home from the track. Now, come on. Come on, we don't want to miss the opening bell. Ding, ding, ding! There it is! All right, sweetie. Okay, study along. Whoa! I love redheads, but, you know, I have a limit," says Henry as Jen interrupts them. "I thought it only fair to warn you, Henry, I'm onto you," she says. "That and a buck fifty will get you on the bus," responds Henry. Jen informs him that she just spoke to Mike and told him about their meeting and Henry's phone call. "My phone call?" gulps Henry. "Yeah. And Mike seemed very interested in when exactly it was that you made that call. Now, why is that, Henry? Why was Mike so upset?" demands Jen. Somehow Henry gets away from Jen and goes back to the cottage, where he finds Katie alone and crying. "Bubbles? What happened?" he asks. "I told him the truth. I had to. Oh, God. I've lost him for good this time," sobs Katie. "Come here," says Henry as he holds her. Today’s episode was directed by ? and written by ? (technical difficulties).
