Wednesday, November 21, 2007 It's Thanksgiving Day and Henry and Vienna are serving dinner for free at Al's Diner. Katie and Brad are there to do a story on it for "Oakdale Now," and things do not end well. Today’s episode was directed by Michael Eilbaum and written by Susan Dansby.
Transcripts from TVMegasite Katie: Where's Brad? Kim: Oh, good! You're here! Fabulous. And your make-up, hi, is beautiful. What do we say we take a quick shot over you here doing something festive -- Henry: Carve -- carve the turkey. Carve the turkey! Kim: Oh, terrific. And here's -- an apron. And if Chuck will get set, we're going to do this just for a promo, okay? Katie: Okay. Kim: Okay. Do you want some help here? That a girl. We can just -- perfect. Perfect. All right. Roll it, and cue. Brad: Happy Thanksgiving -- whoa, oh, let that be a Thanksgiving safety tip for all you folks out there. Never and I mean, never sneak up on a woman holding a carving knife.
Brad: Don't be lonely this holiday season. Katie: Volunteer, spread some joy, and watch "Oakdale Now." Kim: Great. Come on. Cut. And we'll go up here and talk to you guys. Brad: Katie, what are you doing after this? I just thought today might be tough for you. Katie: You know what's tough, Brad? Being betrayed by someone I thought was on my side. Tough is knowing that I would still be married to the man I love, if you would have just told the truth. Brad: Carly swore she wouldn't tell. Katie: She didn't. You're such an idiot! You decide to have a heart-to-heart with Carly under a live mic! Vienna: Aren't they lovely? Emma, she is a genius. Katie: Yes, she is. You knew Carly wasn't dying and you let her lie to us about it. Brad: Let her? Since when can anyone stop Carly from doing anything? Katie: Did she have a lock on your tongue, Brad? You could have told me! Brad: I promised her. Katie: I know why she didn't want Jack and me to be happy, but you? Are you that jealous of your brother? Brad: Like he's got anything I want. Kim: Okay, okay, let's go back down here. You two get back here. We're all set. Chuck? Down here. All right, roll and cue. Brad: Happy Thanksgiving, everybody. Katie: From all of us at "Oakdale Now." Kim: Wait, keep it rolling. We need something, I don't know. Pick up one of those pumpkins. Right there. Brad: I wasn't trying to make you miserable. I was just -- what can I do to make things better? Katie: How about this? [Katie picks up the mashed potatoes and rubs them in his face]
Katie: Are we still rolling? Kim: Yes. Katie: Good. Because I forgot the gravy! [Katie picks up the gravy and pour it all over Brad] Kim: Oh, perfect! Cut. That's a wrap. I want to look at this. Come on. Brad: Okay, okay, I deserved that. But at least let me explain. Vienna: You made a mess. You clean it up. Brad: This -- this thing with Carly, this lie, it just snowballed. I kept on trying to stop it. I wasn't trying to hurt you. Katie: Oh, I'm so sick of everybody saying that! You and your brother didn't want to hurt me, well, guess what? You did! You hurt me! Both of you. Brad: You mean so much to me, I mean that. And I -- I swear, I will never hurt you again. Henry: Ohh! [Henry slips on the mash potatoes. He slides into Brad and Brad holding a bucket of water spills some on Katie] Brad: Okay, I'm sorry. Let me help you, please! Katie: No, don't! Don't help me. Ever again. Henry: Okay.
