Ralph has Katie hostage and is threatening to kill her if Henry doesn't get the money.  His mother is no help because she's being detained by the police because she attempted to murder Barbara.  So Henry goes to Barbara and tells her the whole truth.  She agrees to stop the injunction so that he can get the whole inheritance and pay Ralph back before Katie gets hurt.  But just as he's about to deliver the money, Brad shows up.

Today’s episode was directed by Jennifer Pepperman and written by Janet Lacobuzio.

Transcripts from TVMegasite

Henry: Um, what you're doing is really not the best way to handle this, Mr. Manzo.

Ralph: What choice do you leave me, Henry? Your little friend here, as loyal as she is -- she made a big error in judgment when she came at me with a threat.

Henry: That's how this happened?

Ralph: What are you talking about? What, are we getting into a question of semantics now?

Henry: What do you want? Uh, what -- what can I do?

Ralph: What do I have to do, draw you a picture? I want the money, Henry. I want it now. You get it to me now or your friend dies.

Henry: Um, listen, I -- I would, uh, be happy to replace that item in your inventory with one of mine.

Ralph: You're no good to me light, Henry. You come heavy, then we can talk.

Henry: I'm -- I've been trying to fix the deficit there for, uh -- for weeks. Um, uh, good faith, perhaps?

Ralph: "Good faith"? What, have you gone stupid? I'm telling you to get me the money. Get me the money now or she is dead.

Henry: Listen, just wait. Hi. Uh, sorry.

Brad: What was that about?

Henry: I was -- a delivery -- it went to the wrong address.

Brad: Okay. Uh, I'm sorry. Well, whatever. Hey, I need your help with Katie.

Henry: Katie? How?

Brad: Look, I have an idea. It's last-minute. I can't do it alone, which is why I'm cornering you.

Henry: Brad, I really can't.

Brad: Yes, yes, yes, you -- you really -- you really can, okay? I'm throwing a last-minute surprise, co-ed baby shower tonight, okay? It's for Katie and the baby -- which is a boy, by the way. Thank you for congratulating me. I'm sure Katie told you.

Henry: Good. Congratulations. I -- I think a surprise party is a bad idea, especially tonight.

Brad: You do?

Henry: Yeah. I -- I really do.

Brad: Oh, well, I don't, which is why you're enlisted. And since you made Katie upset, I don't want any arguments, okay? Consider this way your way of making it up to her.

Henry: Brad, I don't think you're hearing my situation here, okay?

Brad: I -- I know. I know. You -- you and Vienna broke up, and I get the idea that it wasn't pretty. And because -- because Katie is the best friend you could ever possibly have, she didn't tell me any details. She didn't make you look bad, okay? So you owe her and me. Come on, man. It's for Katie. She would do anything for you.

Henry: I know that.

Brad: Okay, okay. So this is what I need. I need you to be a decoy, okay? I need to bring you by the house until I call you. And then in the in-between time, I need you to keep her busy until I get the party all set up. Do you think you can do that?

Henry: Keeping her away from home shouldn't be a problem.

Henry: Mother.

Audrey: Oh, Henry! You're here to save me.

Henry: No. You're gonna save Katie. I need you to get to -- back to Ralph by any means necessary.

Audrey: What?! What -- what are you talking about? You know, there's -- there's been a -- a sort of situation here.

Henry: There's a situation with Katie, okay? I need you to stop that lunatic that you brought into our lives.

Audrey: How can I possibly stop a man like Ralph Manzo?

Henry: I don't know. I don't. Seduce him, kill him, I don't care. Just get him to back off before he hurts Katie.

Audrey: Henry, now is not really a primo time to be talking about murdering someone.

Henry: Yeah, I know. You tried to murder Barbara, and now you're all tired out.

Audrey: No, shh! There's just been a new development.

Henry: I know there's been a new development. There has been a new -- with Ralph. What?

Audrey: I'm a little tied up right now.

Cop: Ma'am, it's time to go.

Henry: You're being arrested?

Audrey: Not if I can help it. Ta.

Henry: Barbara --

Henry: Open the door, Barbara!

Barbara: Go away, Henry, or I'll call another officer and have them haul you in so you can be with your mother!

Henry: Go ahead and call! I'm not going anywhere!

Barbara: I'm calling!

Henry: I'm not here about my mother, okay?! I won't tell you what to do about her or what she did! I just -- thank you.

Barbara: Your mother is a psychopath, and she tried to kill me.

Henry: I know, and I'm sorry.

Barbara: And I'm going to prosecute her.

Henry: You go right ahead. She's not my problem.

Barbara: Then why are you here? Oh, no. You couldn't possibly be thinking of --

Henry: No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no.

Barbara: Thank god.

Henry: No, I -- I am here because I need your help. And without it, Katie will die.

Barbara: Okay, Henry. Explain away. And remember, I am far more studied in the art of you than i was a couple of days ago. And if there is a whiff of anything phony in here, I will sniff it out.

Henry: I'd never lie about something this serious.

Barbara: Oh, but you lied and tried to seduce me to get to the money.

Henry: Barbara, Barbara, please.

Barbara: You lied to get to the inheritance, your mother tried to kill me to get to the inheritance, and now you're using Katie as a ruse to get to the inheritance! Do you see my dilemma here?!

Henry: Yes, you deserve the truth.

Barbara: Oh, yes, I do.

Henry: Okay, okay, listen. I -- in order to keep the inheritance, despite the fact that Vienna pleaded with me not to, I made some -- some bad decisions.

Barbara: Bad decisions, you?

Henry: Worse than ones you know about, Barbara. I, uh -- I got involved with a mobster.

Barbara: Oh, my.

Henry: Yes. And we have a sort of quid pro quo, okay? I would give my money to -- pretend to give it to a charity, and then Mr. Charity would launder the money through metro. The only problem is, it didn't quite work out.

Barbara: I see.

Henry: Barbara. Barbara, please. Please listen to me. I've done a horrible, horrible, terrible, terrible thing, and I should and will be punished for it whatever way I'm supposed to, but I never in a million years thought that I would put someone else's life in danger, and I have done that. Katie and Vienna at the fire -- that fire was a warning signal from a mobster to me.

Barbara: Right.

Henry: And then Vienna -- she finds out that I betrayed her, not just with you, but lying about the whole charity thing, and she's left me. And now Katie somehow is smack-dab in the middle of this disaster!

Barbara: How did that happen?

Henry: It doesn't matter how it happened. The point is, he is so determined to get this money from me that he has kidnapped Katie, all right? He thinks that if he threatens her that I will come through. But I can't come through, because I don't have the money, Barbara. You have the money. And if I don't give him the money, he is going to kill her -- Katie -- Katie, who has done nothing wrong, Katie, who is my best friend in the world, all right? Katie, who is about about to give birth to a baby.

Barbara: Is that the whole story?

Henry: It is, I swear.

Barbara: And it's true?

Henry: On my life.

Barbara: Okay, let's go.

Henry: Go -- go where?

Barbara: To find a judge.

Henry: Judge?

Barbara: Think, Henry. You can't get the inheritance because of the injunction, and you can't get the injunction lifted without a judge, so we've got to get to the courthouse before it rolls up for the night. Do you understand? Let's go.

Henry: Oh.

Barbara: Ooh! Henry --

Henry: Barbara -- oh, Barbara. Barbara, all right. Let's go.

Barbara: Oh! Okay.

Barbara: Henry, Henry, please, stop vibrating, all right? My attorney said the injunction was lifted.

Henry: I know. I'm so worried about Katie. I can't stand it. Barbara, I can't thank you enough for this.

[Cell phone rings]

Henry: Hello.

Audrey: Henry, pay attention. I need you to --

Henry: Okay, I'm ready to go to the bank.

Barbara: Let's go.

Parker: Excuse me. Can I have just a second. I've been looking for you.

Barbara: For me?

Paul: We're in the middle of something important.

Parker: I'm sorry. This will only take two seconds. This is gonna sound a little bit weird, but I need some money, and I was hoping you could help me get it. You remember the money that Jennifer left for me that I was supposed to get when I'm 21? Is there any way that you could help me get it now?

Barbara: Now?

Parker: Today. I mean, the banks are still open.

Barbara: Honey, things don't work that way.

Parker: Jennifer really wanted me to have that money.

Barbara: I know that, and I know how much Jennifer loved you. But -- I'm in no position to work this out right now. I -- I'm really sorry, parker.

Henry: Barbara, this money will save Katie's life.

Barbara: So you said.

Henry: Listen, uh, I know you didn't have to do this. And, uh, I lied to you, and I said things to get what I wanted from you. My mother tried to kill you.

Barbara: All true.

Henry: You could have walked away. The fact that you didn't -- well, I'll never forget it.

Barbara: Okay. You better go now before I change my mind.

Henry: Sleeping with you ruined my life. But the fact that you saved Katie's, I'll never forget. Good-bye.

Henry: Ralph, thank god I found you.

Ralph: Thank god for you.

Henry: For Katie. Look, she's all right, isn't she?

Ralph: It depends on why you're here.

Henry: I'm here for the one thing that you want for me.

Ralph: Well, what do you know? You're coming through after all.

Henry: Yeah.

Brad: Henry.

Henry: Brad.

Brad: You're supposed to be keeping Katie occupied. Is she here?

Henry: Um --

Brad: Man, I asked you to do -- I just asked you to do one thing is to keep Katie busy until I can surprise her. I mean, what -- what if she sees me here and they take that order for her? She's gonna start asking questions. So, I mean -- where is she? Did you lose her?
