Transcripts from TVMegasite Henry: Should I get us some coffee? Vienna: Not if it means that you have to leave me. Why don't you -- why don't we get room service just this once? It would be nice to have someone else serving me instead of me holding the coffeepot. Henry: Your wish is my command. Vienna: No, ohh! Too far. Henry: Oh. Come here. I'm glad you're letting janet take over the diner today. I think we should just stay in bed all day long. Vienna: Ooh, that would be nice. Henry: Mmm. What do you mean, "it would be"? Vienna: Well, if we wouldn't have to work. Henry: What work? Vienna: You know how much I want to make you happy. Henry: I am happy. I couldn't be happier. Vienna: Liar. Henry: What? Vienna: Liar, because you -- you want excitement and glamour that our little diner can't give you, so we're gonna -- we're gonna get some. Henry: I'm not following you. Vienna: Al's is going upscale. So get dressed, baby, because we are going shopping. Henry: No, no, no! I don't think so. I don't think we are 'cause we just don't have that much disposable income. Vienna: No, but -- Henry: Not yet, not yet we don'T. Vienna: We do. We do, darling, because after we sold our share of metro back to carly, we have all of the money we need.
Henry: When I told you that i had sold my share of metro back to carly, I wasn't exactly talking about liquid assets. Vienna: Okay, did you or did you not sell, Henry? Henry: I -- you saw the contract. It's signed, sealed. It just needs to be delivered. Vienna: Okay, well, go get our money because we have some glamorizing to do. Henry: It's not that simple. Vienna: But it's our money. If -- if you're too embarrassed, I'll go myself, and if she doesn't have the whole amount, then she'll give at least a little bit to spruce up the restaurant so you can be happy. Henry: I am happy. Vienna: Really? 'Cause you look a little pale. Why don't you go rest? Henry: No, no, no, no, no, no. You know what? This is my doing, so I'm gonna make this right, okay? Vienna: Okay, okay.
Henry: Oh, thank goodness you're home. I need a favor. Katie: Uh, what is it? Henry: Can you loan me 50 grand? Uh, make it 5 grand, in cash, preferably. Katie: What kind of trouble are you in now? Henry: Oh, the expensive kind. Katie: Uh, be a little more specific. Henry: Um, you know how, uh, Vienna is allergic to the idea of us investing in metro? Katie: Yeah, but you went ahead and did it anyway. Henry: Well, I -- I just didn't think she was getting the big picture, you know? She's been trying to convince me that she's happy with the status quo, as humble and as grease-splattered as that is. Katie: She loves the diner, Henry. She's told you that a million times. Henry: But she's saying that so I don't feel bad. Katie: Or did you ever think that maybe it's the truth? Henry: No, it's not! She's sacrificing her dreams for me. Katie: Wait, this is Vienna we're talking about? Henry: Yes, the same exquisite, elegant, expensive -- Katie: Okay, yeah, I get it. So what's the problem? Henry: I -- I tried to play reverse psychology. I told her that I had sold the club back to carly. I even had these fake contracts made up and everything. Katie: Ugh. Henry: No, I thought that if she saw that I was willing to give up metro for her, that she would change her mind and let me keep it. Katie: Let me guess. It didn't work? Henry: No, it didn't, not a bit. She's overjoyed. She wants to use the money to glamorize al's! Katie: That's an oxymoron. Henry: Bubbles, my life is an oxymoron. And if you don't help me, okay, and if I don't show up with cash in hand, it will go from oxymoron to regular moron soon enough. Katie: I just -- I don't have 50 grand just lying around, not even for you. Henry: All right, whatever you go, okay? And I'll just tell her it's -- it's -- it's a down payment and I'll find the money somewhere else. Katie: You're an idiot. Henry: I know. I know I am an idiot. I'm -- and I'm -- am I an idiot worth helping? Katie: You're just gonna get yourself deeper into trouble, Henry. Henry: Do you have any better ideas? Katie: Yeah, tell Vienna the truth! Henry: I can'T.
Henry: If I tell Vienna the truth, she will leave me. Katie: Don't be ridiculous, Henry. She loves you. Henry: I -- I lied to her, and in her world, that is -- that is grounds for goodbye. Listen, I just -- I just need an infusion of cash, a couple of grand, that's it. I -- listen, I can't let her know that I tried to trick her. It'll humiliate her, and I know -- I know it's a gamble, but if I lose her, my life is worthless. Katie: All right. But don't say I didn't warn you.
Vienna: Ooh! Did you get the money? Henry: Mm-hmm. I've got it right here. Vienna: Ooh! This is cash. Henry: I know. It's a beautiful thing, isn't it? I can't remember the last time i had this much cash in my hands. You want to paper the walls with it or something? Would that be glamorous enough for you? Vienna: Why didn't carly give you a check? Henry: They accountants were working on the books, and so this is all she had in the safe. It's $2,000. Vienna: Okay, well, I guess it's a start. Henry: There's more where that came from. Vienna: Good. Are you ready? Henry: For? Vienna: To go shopping. All I have to do is take out the apple strudel, and then we can leave, okay? Henry: Great. [ Cell phone ringing ] Hello? Carly, carly, this is not a very good time, okay? All right? I -- I -- now? No, absolutely not. I have to do something with Vienna. I can't -- fi -- fine, I'll be right there. Vienna: So, are you ready? Henry: I, uh -- I can'T. Vienna: What's wrong? Why? You look -- Henry: Sick, I feel sick. I feel so -- I feel really sick all of a sudden. Go! Shop. I -- I've got to go home and lay down. Vienna: What?
Vienna: Henry? I couldn't go shopping with you being so sick. I brought you some chicken soup.
Vienna: I need to talk to you. Something's wrong with Henry. Katie: Why do you say that? Vienna: Because he's acting strange. Katie: Well, that's not unusual for Henry. Vienna: No, this is -- this is not a joke. First he went to get money from carly and came back with a pile of cash instead of a check. And then suddenly -- suddenly, he got sick and went home. When -- when I brought him chicken soup, he wasn't there. I'm worried. Do you think he's gambling again? Katie: No, no, absolutely not. I'm sure of that. Vienna: Then what? What? Katie: Talk to Henry. Vienna: Okay, okay.
Katie: You got to go home right now. Henry: What? I -- I can'T. Carly left for an hour. Someone has to keep an eye on the place. Katie: Well, find someone else, or you're gonna lose Vienna. Henry: What? Katie: She went to your room to bring you chicken soup. Henry: Oh, Katie, no. Katie: Yes, and she knows you're lying about something. She just thinks it's much worse than it really is. Henry: How could it be worse? Katie: Gambling. Henry: Gambling. Oh, my god, you're right. Oh, god, I can't let her think that. Katie: No, you can'T. Henry: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, um, I'm going to -- as soon as carly gets here, I'm going to go to Vienna, and I will tell her that I lied, that I -- I never sold my share back to carly and that it was just a trick to keep her on board and that we are still in the club business, and hopefully she will be okay with that. Vienna: No, she will not. Henry: Vienna. Vienna, sweetheart, wait. Keep an eye on the bar. Vienna, come here! Come here!
Henry: She just drove off. She wouldn't even talk to me. Katie: Oh, I'm so sorry that she had to hear the truth that way, but once she gets over the initial shock, she'll come around. Henry: I -- I don't know, Katie. I betrayed here, and the I told you, and that makes it a lot worse. Katie: But at least she knows you were gonna tell her the truth. She heard you say that. That changes everything. Henry: You think so? Katie: Yeah, absolutely. Vienna loves you. Everything's gonna be fine.
