Henry is missing Katie, so he goes to Mike for company.  He's unexpectedly smitten by a beautiful stranger, who unfortunately is not a stranger to Mike.

Henry runs into Mike at Memorial Hospital and says, "You're a hard man to track down. I thought you were supposed to be working on the new addition to the E.R."  Mike says that he is and Henry reminds him that the E.R. is a few flights down.  "Coffee machine was broken downstairs," says Mike.  "Right. Mike, you think I don't remember that this is the floor that Katie was assigned to? Makes you feel good, huh? Talking to a bunch of people that miss her as much as you do?" guesses Henry.  "What do you want?" asks Mike shortly.  "I want to join your construction crew," says Henry.  "You want to join my crew?" laughs Mike.  "That's right. I want feel the joy of building something. Don't laugh now. I want to live off the sweat of my brow. I want to swing one of these babies," says Henry, pulling out a hammer.  "Right," says Mike, not falling for it.  "I also want to pay off my parking fines," adds Henry, pulling out a pile of tickets.  "I'm in need of some gainful employment there, old buddy."  Mike tells him to forget it and Henry pleads, "Mike, there is a warrant out for my arrest."  "Add it to your collection," jokes Mike, turning to walk away.  "That's not fair," says Henry, chasing after him.  "Now I have not been busted in over a month. Come on, now. You must need a little bit of help around here."  "Henry, hiring you..." begins Mike.  "Yes?" prods Henry.  "Would be a very expensive mistake," finishes Mike.  Seeing the sad look on Henry's face, he adds, "How much do you need?"  Henry asks for $500 and Mike hands him $300.  "Thanks. You know, you're a pal. And now that Katie's gone, it's nice to know that I still have you," says Henry.  "And I thought I couldn't feel any worse," says Mike as he turns and walks away.

Henry chases after Mike again.  "Mike, you know, $300 is great..."  "That's all I'm going to loan you," says Mike, stopping him.  "I know. I'm not asking for more. No, no, no. You misunderstand me. I just thought maybe we could spend some time together. You know, an hour -- maybe two," suggests Henry.  "To do what?" asks Mike.  "To come down to the police station with me," says Henry.  "It's parking tickets, not manslaughter. Just pay the bill," says Mike impatiently.  "You're right. You're right. You're right. Maybe we could do lunch. You know, provided I'm released under my on recognizance," says Henry.  "I eat alone," says Mike gruffly.  "Oh, okay. I just thought that since I miss Katie and you miss Katie, we have something in common, but never mind," says Henry sadly.  "Metro - I'm having lunch at Metro. You want to meet there, fine," says Mike, giving in.  "There we go, okay. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship," says Henry hopefully.  "It's lunch, Henry. Don't ruin it by making threats," says Mike.

Henry goes to the police station to take care of his parking tickets.  Nikki Munson has just talked to Dusty about Lucy's kidnapping and is on her way to find Craig.  She runs into Henry on her way out and he drops his parking tickets all over the floor.  "Oh! Great," he says, starting to pick them up.  "Sorry. Let me help you pick these up," says Nikki as she bends down to help him, hitting him in the head in the process.  "No, no, no, I've got it. It's all right. Ow. Do you want to watch what you're doing there, huh?"  He looks up at her and his anger and frustration disappear.  "Hello," he says, smitten.  "Hi, hello," she says politely.  "You going to -- I hope you forgive me. I'm such a klutz. I'm always running into people," says Henry.  "It's all right. It's not your fault," says Nikki as she runs out the door.  "No...." Henry calls after her, left alone with his parking tickets.

Mike and Henry are walking down the stairs at Metro, Mike in his faded jeans and untucked shirt and Henry in his suit and tie.  "She was a -- she was an angel, Mike. She was like a vision. Who'd ever have thought I'd meet the girl of my dreams in the Oakdale police station, huh?" raves Henry.  "Talk to the mayor. Maybe he'll build a shrine," teases Mike.  "I see how you laugh, but I'm telling you, there was something magical about this meeting, okay? I mean, one minute we were knocking heads, and then the next -- she was just gone, as if I'd conjured her up out of my own imagination," explains Henry.  He sees Nikki sitting at the bar.  "Mike -- Mike, that's her. That's her, man. Oh. This is kismet. I mean, I -- I can't feel my toes, Mike. I think I'm going into shock here," says Henry, loosening his tie.  "Lunch, lunch. We're here for lunch," Mike reminds him.  "What? What? Hey, wait a second. How can you think about food at a time like this? Have you no soul, man? No poetry? 'She walks in beauty like the night,'" quotes Henry.  "Stop, stop, stop. Stop it!" begs Mike.  "I'm just joking. Okay, all right. No poetry. All right, here's -- okay, okay. Here's what I want you to do. I want you to go over there and I want you to tell her that your best friend...."  "Who?" asks Mike.  "Is in love. Okay, she's going to remember me from the police station. She will. We locked eyes. There was -- there was -- there was heat. You gotta do this for me, man. You gotta help me out here," pleads Henry, grabbing Mike by the shirt.  "All right, all right, all right. No more poetry then," agrees Mike.  "Okay. All right, bless you, bless you. Bless you, Mike," says Henry.  "Stop looking like a puppy up for adoption," says Mike.  "Coleman. Henry Coleman. Enchante," practices Henry.  Mike goes over to Nikki and says, "Excuse me."  "Mike Kasnoff!" she cries, giving him a hug.  Mike gives Henry an "I'm sorry" look over her shoulder.  Disappointed, Henry mutters, "That's just great."

Today’s episode was directed by Christopher Goutman and written by Meg Kelly.
