Henry is bartending at Metro and listening to Katie's troubles, until Mike shows up to take over that duty.  After Katie leaves to check on her husband, Henry asks Mike to put in a good word for him with Carly about becoming partners at Metro.

Today’s episode was directed by Jennifer Pepperman and written by Richard Culliton.

Henry: You know, every time I pour one of these, I just marvel -- marvel at the beauty of it. It's crystalline perfection. It's clarity.

Katie: Mmm.

Henry: Here. Cheers.

Katie: Cheers.

Henry: That's right. Savor it!

Katie: Mmm. Oh. That's good. So, tell me.

Henry: Yeah?

Katie: Now that you've taken over for Carly here, do people tell you their problems all the time?

Henry: Well, you know, it's been the lot of bartenders since Herodotus.

Katie: What?

Henry: Spill it, Peretti.

Katie: Snyder. Spill what?

Henry: Whatever's bothering you.

Katie: Nothing.

Henry: Oh, come on. It's me, Katie.

Katie: Okay, just one little question.

Henry: All right.

Katie: What does it say when your husband decides to spend the evening with the girl he got pregnant in high school?

Mike: It's says your husband is nuts.

Katie: I want you to be happy.

Mike: I am happy.

Katie: No, I don't mean in that Zen "I never complain, so everything's fine" kind of way. I mean, "like my girlfriend's so hot and thinks I hung the moon" kind of way.

Mike: I could live with that.

Katie: It'll happen. You're gonna find her. There is a girl out -- well, there's a lot of girls out there who are smarter than me, but -- it'll be the right one. Okay, I have to go check in, see how my new nuclear family dysfunctions tonight. Bye. Thank you. Bye.

Mike: Bye. Safe trip home.

Henry: Want another beer?

Mike: Why not? I got no place to go.

Henry: Right. You still have a thing for her, don't you?

Mike: No. It's an amicable split. We're still good friends.

Henry: Right. And I am iron man.

Henry: So, Carly has been resistant to the idea.

Mike: You really want to own a nightclub? It seems like a lot of responsibility.

Henry: No, no, no. I think of it more as like a pulpit, you know? I could be a role model for young martini drinkers. It's my way of giving back, Mike.

Mike: Ah. Great to see that you found your true calling.

Henry: Yeah.

Mike: I hate to be the one to break it to you, though. Carly is not known for changing her mind very easily.

Henry: I know that. That's why I have to find an ambassador or a negotiator, a closer, if you will.

Mike: Yeah? Who?

Henry: Drinks are on me tonight, by the way.

Mike: No.

Henry: Yes, Mike. She'll listen to you. Come on.

Mike: No. Well, why do you want to own a club? You already have the diner.

Henry: I want it for Vienna. I want her man to be the king of the empire. I guess an empire's situation, it would be an emperor, wouldn't it? But you know what I'm saying.

Mike: You're really crazy about her.

Henry: Mm-hmm. And lately I've been getting really ambitious. I've actually been looking into the mirror and saying, "who are you?"

Mike: That's what the love of a good woman will do.

Henry: Yeah, you should try it. Keep looking.

Mike: Cardinal rule of being a bartender is just listen. Don't give advice. I'll see what I can do with Carly.

Henry: Thank you. A man like that going home alone, what's the world coming to?
