Friday, June 18, 2004 Today Henry gets the sad news that Katie is leaving him to go to Australia with Simon. Simon has convinced Katie to move to Australia with him. He says it's because he wants to show her where he grew up, but really he's trying to get them away from Pilar, who's getting more dangerous every day. Simon has just found out that she killed Faux Snickers, but Katie thinks the rabbit is just missing. Simon goes to confront and threaten Pilar, while Katie starts saying her good-byes. "I thought Faux was happy here," says Katie, wiping away tears. Henry assures her that she was. "Maybe it's a sign, you know? That it's time to move on. Not just for her, but for me, too," says Katie. "You wanna repeat that?" asks Henry. Katie tells him that she and Simon have decided to leave. "Like a little vacation? Little getaway?" suggests Henry. "We're moving to Australia," says Katie. "Katie, tell me this is some kind of bad joke to shock me out of my bunny grief," pleads Henry. "No, please, you're going to make me start crying," she says. "Well, here, you should cry. You should cry oceans of tears for even thinking of that. Australia's too far away," says Henry. "And don't tell me, 'Oh, we'll talk, we'll write, we'll call and there's always email.' No, no, you and I both know that you belong here, with me. Come on, who's going to keep me on the straight and narrow, huh? While still encouraging and admiring my evil genius ways? We're a team, we're a team, we're a team, Bubbles. You don't just break up a team like this. It doesn't come along every day," says Henry. "I know, but Simon and I, we need a new start," says Katie. "Then, get a new hairdo. Have a baby. Whatever, come on, going on the other side of the planet? For a new start? Criminals do this sort of thing, Katherine. No, all right, no. You're not going. No, sorry," insists Henry. "I knew you were going to say that," sighs Katie. "Well, then you must also know that you need to give me a better reason for leaving me," says Henry. "I need to live in Simon's world for a while, okay? He's lived in mine for such a long time, and I need to repay the favor. You know, as scared as you are, sometimes you just have to venture out on your own. A door opens, and you have to - see what's on the other side," explains Katie. "You did not just say that," says Henry. "I'm just saying - I want you to stay in the cottage. And, I need you to do some things for me, okay? Take care of Snickers, and keep looking for Faux. Can you do that?" asks Katie. "All right, I'll build her a little bunny door. She can come back easier that way. I'll make sure she stays when she gets," promises Henry. "I'm going to miss you so much!" says Katie, hugging Henry. "I hate Simon. I really do," pouts Henry. "Don't say that," scolds Katie. "No, he's taking you away from me. I know he's a good guy and all, that sort of thing," says Henry. "He is a changed, different man. He's free," says Katie. "Yeah, but..." protests Henry. "Yeah, but nothing. Okay, you're right, Henry. I don't know what's going to happen for Simon and me. But I do know one thing. He is never going to let me down again," says Katie confidently. Today’s episode was directed by Michael Eilbaum and written by Lynn Martin.
