Katie and Henry are still stranded on the island with Mango
Man Cooley. Henry manages to find
some food, and Katie manages to lose her clothes!
Katie is talking to Simon the coconut.
“I promise -- as soon as you find me and we're together, I will never
leave your side again. I know how worried you are and how hard you're looking
for me, and I am so sorry for putting you through that, Simon.
But as soon as Henry finds our scuba gear, I will dive into that ocean
and pluck your diamond right off the ocean floor.
You'll come save me, and we'll be together again.
We'll be so happy for the rest of lives.”
Henry walks up carrying his “spear” and a huge bunch of very green
bananas, calling, “Katie Peretti, island princess?”
He sees her talking to a coconut and says
laughingly,
“Congratulations! You've finally
found the man of your dreams, haven't you?
Oh, look at him. He'll
always there for you. He'll never
talk back. And then, when you get
bored with him, you can crack his head open and eat him alive.
There you go,” he says, handing her a banana. “Where's our trunk and all the scuba gear?” she asks,
ungrateful. “Well, they're still
missing in action,” answers Henry. “What
have you been doing all this time, Henry, running around the island thinking of
stupid insults?” asks Kate. “Yeah,
that about sizes it up,” says Henry sarcastically.
Katie sighs and Henry says, “Oh, what, Katie?
You think I'm going to bound off into that overgrown jungle and take down
a madman, armed with only my sharp wit and a wooden spear?
That is not the tour I signed on for.”
He starts to walk away and Katie stops him, asking, “Where do you think
you're going?” “I'm going to go
check on that plane that you forced me to crash,” he responds.
“Do I have to do everything around here?” whines Katie.
“Yeah, that would be terrific, Katie,” says Henry as he walks away.
Katie continues to speak to her husband.
“All right, well, at
least he's out of our hair for a little while.
Speaking of hair -- what I would not give for some shampoo.”
She gets an idea and starts to undress.
“Ah, ah, ah, naughty boy. I
saw you peeking,” she says as she turns his face away.
“You're just gonna have to wait for that.
You just wait till we get home. We'll
put up the ‘do not disturb’ sign, and then you can feast your eyes till your
heart's content, all right? For
now, you just stay there and watch out for Henry, okay?”
She jumps into the water. Cooley
comes out of the bushes, grinning and watching Katie. He sees Katie’s clothes laying on the ground and picks them
up. He notices the coconut sitting
there and says, “Hey, hairball, what are you lookin' at?”
He stomps on it, moans in pain, and limps away.
Katie gets out of the water and sees that Simon has been
smashed. “Simon?
What happened to you, my sweet Simon?” she asks.
Then she notices that her clothes are gone and wonders, “Where are my
clothes? Oh, no.
No, no, no. This can't be
happening.” Henry walks up
carrying Lily and Simon’s old orange parachute.
“Hey, Katie, look what I found!” he calls.
“Where are my clothes, Henry?!” demands Katie.
“What did you do with them? If
you tell me right
now, I
might not kill you.” Henry is
staring at Katie, unable to speak. Hello?
Would you say something?” she says.
“You never seen a naked woman in your life?
Oh, that's a stupid question, of course not.
Hello?! Would you close your
mouth and at least let me -- help me find something to wear?”
Henry hands Katie a small shell, saying, “This is the best I can do on
such short notice.” “Would you
try to be a gentleman for once in your life?!” asks Katie angrily, throwing
the shell on the ground. “Look --
I did find something you can use,” says Henry, handing her the parachute.
Katie asks what it is and Henry answers, “Oh, it's the answer to your
prayers.” “An old, musty
parachute -- what am I supposed to do with that?” pouts Katie.
“Oh, I don't know. You're
a resourceful girl, you'll come up with something.
I mean, if -- if Scarlett can make a dress with drapes, I'm sure you can
whip up something with a parachute. You
know? But -- well -- it looks like
somebody already beat you to the haute couture
department,” says Henry, holding up the parachute and showing her the holes
where Simon cut out Lily’s outfit. “But
I'm sure you can make -- a tube top and a skirt or something out of it.
Hmm?” he says encouragingly. “Who
on earth would want to wear something made out of this?” asks Katie in
disgust. Apparently she doesn’t
know that Lily wore it all last summer. “Oh,
I don't know, Katie, maybe someone who doesn't want to spend the rest of their
adult life as naked as the day they were born?” responds Henry.
Katie has tied part of the parachute around her and is
ripping apart the parachute to make the rest of her outfit.
“Now, Katie, I don't know much about designing beach attire, but if you
ask me – “ offers Henry. “I
didn't,” says Katie. “Yeah, I
think you're going about that the wrong way,” he advises.
“Well, I wouldn't
have to go about it any way if you hadn't stolen my clothes.
Talk about cheap thrills, Henry,” says Katie.
“Honey, if I wanted to get you out of your clothes -- and don't flatter
yourself, 'cause that's the last thing on my mind -- I would've been a lot more
subtle,” says Henry. “All
right, if you didn't take my clothes, then, O wise one, tell me, where are
they?” she asks. “Well, I think the footprint has struck again.
He's taken the trunk, he's taken the scuba gear, he's taken -- yeah, I
don't think he's gonna be satisfied until he takes our lives, Katie,” says
Henry worriedly as he jumps up and starts to leave.
“Where are you going? What
about our trunk and our scuba gear?” demands Katie.
“You go ahead and find that stuff, okay?
I'm gonna go repair the plane,” answers Henry.
“You intend to fly out of here before we even look for the diamond?”
asks Katie. “Katie, hey, that
rock is useless until we can get it back to civilization, all right?” he says. “You are such a waste of time.
We both know that you can't fix anything to save your life.
You can't even fix a broken nail,” says Katie.
“Oh, look who's talking. You
can't even make yourself a decent sarong. And
that's only the beginning of the list of things that you can't do, Katie. I guess we're even now,” says Henry as he walks away.
Katie continues to work on the parachute as Cooley watches.
Henry comes back to find Katie dressed in a tube top and
skirt made out of the parachute. “Oh,
poor Katie. All dressed up with
nowhere to go. Ain't it always the
way?” taunts Henry. He picks up
what’s left of the parachute. “Hey,
where to you think you're going with that?” asks Katie.
“Well, I'm sorry to break up your summer collection here, but I need
this for repairs,” he says. “You're
gonna try and fix a piece of machinery with fabric?”
wonders Katie. “Do you have any
better suggestions?” asks Henry. “As
a matter of fact, I have a lot of suggestions for you,” says Katie.
“Yeah, well, save them for the tribal council, okay?
I have real work to do,” says Henry as he begins to leave again.
“Henry? Tell me you know
what you're doing,” says Katie. “Yeah,
I do. When you hear an engine
buzzing above you and you see some shadows gliding across the sand, that will be
yours truly, waving good-bye,” he says as he carries the parachute off to fix
the plane. “Henry, what about the
scuba gear, and what about the diamond?” calls Katie.
“Okay, I'm just gonna have to find that gear myself, because if I don't
get that diamond out of the ocean before he fixes the plane, he's gonna take
off. Simon is gonna find me!
I know he will,” she calls after Henry.
“Oh, poor Simon,” she says, picking up the coconut.
“He's even worse off than I am. He
must be so worried about me by now.” Unfortunately
Simon is more worried about finding Lily’s missing husband and son.
