Henry and Katie have been robbed!  And guess who the prime suspect is - Pilar.

Katie and Simon are enjoying their reunion at the cottage when Henry comes downstairs calling, "Katie? Katie, hey! Did you take my stickpin and my watch?"  Katie asks why she would do that, and Henry says he doesn't know, but somebody took it.  Simon tells him to look again.  "Look, there's only so many times a man can empty his underwear drawer, all right? They're not there," he says.  "Underwear drawer? Come on, mate. That's the first place a robber looks," says Simon.  "Not that you've been robbed."  "Well, then where is my stickpin? It's solid gold. It's got a - got a diamond on it the size of an olive. And then the watch - the watch is a Rolex. A real one," says Henry.  Katie has gone upstairs and they hear her scream.  She comes back down with her jewelry box, complaining that all of her jewelry is gone.  "Then it's official. We've been robbed," declares Henry.

Margo comes in with a few cops and asks how Katie is doing.  "Well, she didn't need this. And, frankly, neither did I," answers Henry.  "They took all the family jewelry. That beautiful gold bracelet that Daddy gave Mama? It's gone," mourns Katie.  "Baby, I am so sorry. Do you have any idea when this happened?" asks Margo.  Henry says they just noticed this morning, but they haven't checked anything since before they went to Deerbrook.  Margo surmises that someone must have robbed the cottage when it was empty.  "Yeah, there's a - there's a neighbor that lives about a mile down the main road. She came in to feed the bunnies once a day," says Henry.  Margo asks how well they know her, and Katie assures Margo that she's sweet and would never take anything.  "Well, I looked around. There's no sign of a forced entry," says Simon.  "I don't get this. This place used to be so safe - used to be," says Henry.  Margo asks them to make a list of anything that's missing.  "Yeah, uh - you know, and don't forget the pin and the Rolex. I won them in a poker game in Sausalito," brags Henry with a smile.  Margo tells the cops to look outside and asks Henry and Simon to see if anything else is missing.  Henry pauses at the bottom of the stairs and says, "If they took my picture of Minnesota Fats, there'll be hell to pay," before going up.  Alone, Margo and Katie talk about Katie's commitment to the mental hospital.  Margo apologizes and assures her she did it out of love.  "I know. And I don't blame you for thinking the things that you did. That was the point, right? Pilar's one clever girl, and I fell for her bait every time," says Katie.  "Well, she had Mike fooled. I think it's important that you know he was just as confused as I was. And everything we did, Katie, we did out of concern and love for you," says Margo.  Katie tells Margo that Mike knows about Simon.

Everyone returns to the living room and the cop says the lock was picked.  Simon says nothing else is missing.  "All right, well why don't you take this and check it for prints," says Margo, handing Katie's jewelry box to the cop.  "Take it to the lab. Fortunately, I have all your prints on file."  Henry laughs and says, "Well, this unconvicted felon is going to head down to the hardware store and get us a new lock for the front door."  Margo leaves also after telling Simon to take care of Katie.  Outside the door Henry is hiding in the bushes.  "Pssst!" he says to Margo to get her attention.

"Look, just because Simon rescued Katie from the nuthouse doesn't mean you're going to give up on Pilar, does it? You're still going to arrest her," asks Henry.  "Look, even if Pilar is responsible for setting Katie up..."  "Even if? Margo!" says Henry.  "Where's the proof? Where is the proof? Simon's back now, so Pilar isn't going to go after Katie now. We're not going to catch her in the act. And besides, other than filing a false police report, what kind of crime did she commit?" asks Margo.  "Try breaking and entering? And grand theft?" suggests Henry.

"Look I didn't want to say anything in front of Katie and Simon - but this robbery has Pilar's fingerprints all over it. Not literally, of course. I mean, she's too smart for that. I think. But Margo, the point is - look at the facts. All right? She knew that we were at Deerbrook. She knew the house would be empty. And we know that she was working with Russ Terry," theorizes Henry.  Margo reminds him that Russ was in jail.  "For weeks. Until suddenly - just after I talked to him, he paid his bail bondsman. $5,000. Which I'll bet you is the exact street value of everything that we just lost. Pilar is our burglar," declares Henry.

"That's some theory, Henry," says Margo.  Henry admits that it's far-fetched.  "Still. I think it's time to pay Ms. Domingo a visit," says Margo.

Today’s episode was directed by Maria Wagner and written by Elizabeth Page.

Transcripts from TVMegasite

Simon: Aw, what are doing up? I was gonna surprise you.

Katie: I got scared. I woke up and you weren't there, and I thought I'd dreamt the whole thing.

Simon: Ah, no. You didn't dream a thing. It's all real. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere.

Katie: It's just gonna take some getting used to, you know? Being able to trust the whole situation.

Simon: Listen, why don't we take this little party upstairs?

Katie: Ooh, breakfast in bed? Yum.

Henry: Katie? Katie, hey! Did you take my stickpin and my watch?

Katie: Why would I take your stickpin?

Henry: I don't know. Somebody did.

Simon: Why don't you go check again, Henry?

Henry: Look, there's only so many times a man can empty his underwear drawer, all right? They're not there.

Simon: Underwear drawer? Come on, mate. That's the first place a robber looks.

Katie: A robber?

Simon: Not that you've been robbed.

Henry: Well, then where is my stickpin? It's solid gold. It's got a -- got a diamond on it the size of an olive. And then the watch -- the watch is a Rolex. A real one.

[ Katie screams ]

Katie: Look, it's all gone! All my good jewelry! All my rings, my gold bracelet, my pearl necklace -- it's gone!

Henry: Then it's official. We've been robbed.

Margo: How is she?

Henry: Well, she didn't need this. And, frankly, neither did I.

Katie: They took all the family jewelry. That beautiful gold bracelet that Daddy gave Mama? It's gone.

Margo: Baby, I am so sorry. Do you have any idea when this happened?

Henry: Well, I didn't notice anything was missing until this morning. But then again, we haven't checked them since before we went to Deerbrook.

Margo: So it happened when the house was empty.

Henry: Yeah, there's a -- there's a neighbor that lives about a mile down the main road. She came in to feed the bunnies once a day.

Margo: How well do you know this woman?

Katie: Oh, she's sweet, Margo. She would never take anything.

Simon: Well, I looked around. There's no sign of a forced entry.

Henry: I don't get this. This place used to be so safe -- used to be.

Margo: All right. Would you make a list of all the items that are missing, and make a description, any photographs you might have for -- you know, insurance purposes.

Katie: Oh, yeah. Actually, I have some photographs at the bank in a lock box.

Margo: Good, good.

Henry: Yeah, uh -- you know, and don't forget the pin and the Rolex. I won them in a poker game in Sausalito.

Margo: Why don't you have a look around outside? And Henry, Simon, would you look around the house? Make sure nothing else is missing.

Henry: If they took my picture of Minnesota Fats, there'll be hell to pay.

Katie: I'm never gonna see any of this stuff again, am I?

Margo: You don't -- you don't know that for sure. Listen, I want to tell you how sorry I am about the whole Deerbrook thing.

Katie: You mean, that you had me committed?

Margo: Well, I really didn't have a choice, did I? I mean, it was either that, or send you to jail. You were acting nuts, and you were obsessed with Pilar.

Katie: Yeah, I was. For good reason.

Margo: Well, I just want you to know that I love you, and I'd never do anything to intentionally hurt you.

Katie: I know. And I don't blame you for thinking the things that you did. That was the point, right? Pilar's one clever girl, and I fell for her bait every time.

Margo: Well, she had Mike fooled. I think it's important that you know he was just as confused as I was. And everything we did, Katie, we did out of concern and love for you.

Katie: Well, Mike knows that he doesn't have to worry about me anymore.

Margo: Because Simon is back.

Katie: Yeah, Henry told him.

Margo: So you didn't talk to him?

Katie: Well, we talked. It didn't change anything.

Cop: Looks like someone picked the lock on the front door.

Margo: Did you check around for tracks?

Cop: The ground's pretty hard, hasn't rained for about a week.

Margo: Oh, that would be my fault. I prayed that it'd be sunny for Casey's game.

Simon: Well, they didn't seem to touch anything else -- the TV, the DVD -- everything's still there.

Margo: All right, well why don't you take this and check it for prints. Take it to the lab. Fortunately, I have all your prints on file.

[ Henry laughs ]

Henry: Well, this unconvicted felon is going to head down to the hardware store and get us a new lock for the front door.

Margo: Okay. Give me that list when you -- oh! You're done. Fine, thank you. Call me if you need anything. Simon, take care of her?

Simon: You bet.

Katie: Thanks.

Henry: Pssst.

Simon: Listen, why don't you take this really ornery guard rabbit upstairs? And after we go to the bank and get those photos, I'm going to take you for the biggest breakfast you've ever eaten.

Katie: Oh, thanks, but I'm really not that hungry.

Simon: I know it's a shock. Waking up, realizing someone's broke into the house. I'm just glad you weren't here at the time.

Katie: If I was here, it probably wouldn't have happened.

Simon: All right, I tell you what. After we go and get those photos from the bank, I'm gonna take you down to that little jewelry store on pearl street and I'm gonna steal you whatever you want.

Katie: You're sweet. But the things that got stolen? They're family heirlooms. They've been passed throughout my family. They're irreplaceable.

Simon: All right. I'm gonna tell you right now, they're not lost. 'Cause I'm gonna get you're jewelry back.

Katie: How?

Henry: Look, just because Simon rescued Katie from the nuthouse doesn't mean you're going to give up on Pilar, does it? You're still going to arrest her.

Margo: Look, even if Pilar is responsible for setting Katie up --

Henry: Even if? Margo --

Margo: Where's the proof? Where is the proof? Simon's back now, so Pilar isn't going to go after Katie now. We're not going to catch her in the act. And besides, other than filing a false police report, what kind of crime did she commit?
