Henry informs Katie that Simon may be back in town, possibly accompanied by Carly.  Katie insists that it won't change her relationship with Jack, but she seems to be trying to convince herself most.  Henry runs into Maddie outside Vienna's room and she orders him to talk to Vienna.  Henry does so, but he's still unable to tell her what she wants to hear.

Today’s episode was directed by Habib Azar and written by Mimi Leahey.

Transcripts from TVMegasite

Henry: If Simon is responsible for slipping the jewels around Vienna's neck while she slept --

Katie: Of course it was Simon. Who else do we know who can pick any lock in the world?

Henry: Yeah, good point. And I'm pretty sure we can rule out easing his conscience.

Katie: Why would he do it? Why would he risk getting caught?

Henry: Well, I'm pretty sure he didn't do it to clear Vienna's name.

Katie: You think this was for Carly?

Henry: Yeah. If the jewels are returned, it can seriously cut down on the charges against her.

Katie: Yeah, but not get rid of them completely.

Henry: No, not get rid of them. But it may mean she can come back home. How do you think Jack would feel about that?

Katie: I really don't think it would change things for him. Jack and Carly were divorced long before she ran off with Simon.

Henry: Yeah, yeah, ending the marriage doesn't end the feelings, as you know very well.

Katie: Yes, well, I paid a big price for that. I'm never going to open myself up to Simon again.

Henry: Yeah, but this is different. Jack and Carly have children, they have to come in contact --

Katie: Why are we even speculating about this? We don't know that Simon and Carly are back.

Henry: Denial is not a river in Egypt.

Katie: Wait, where was Jack when you talked to him? Was he at the police station?

Henry: No, actually, he was on his way to Milltown to see a realtor about his house.

Katie: So, Jack is meeting with a realtor to sell his house? The same house that he shared with Carly. I think that's a pretty good sign that he's moving on.

Henry: Yeah, maybe. Maybe he wants to stay out on the farm and he doesn't want to worry about the upkeep on two different places. Where are you going, Katie? Katie? Look, you're not planning on tracking down Jack at his old place, are you?

Katie: Well, I'm not going to sit here and paint grim scenarios where I get kicked to the curb again.

Henry: Honey, I am just trying to put a smidgen of reality into the situation --

Katie: I know, but I'm not going to run from this because of something that hasn't happened yet.

Henry: Okay, okay, calm down. I only bring it up because Vienna thought that you should know and be prepared in case you ran into him.

Katie: Vienna's worried about me and Simon?

Henry: Yes, she's -- the last time he passed through your life, it was a train wreck.

Katie: I know. But I'm over him now. She's still having a problem with him?

Henry: No, not anymore.

Katie: Then why is she worried that my past is going to come back to haunt me?

Henry: I don't know. Why are you being so defensive?

Katie: Just be careful, Henry. I'm not hung up on some old love, but if Vienna thinks I am, it might be because she's still hung up on hers. I got to go.

Maddie: Finally. What took you so long?

Henry: What?

Maddie: If you would have waiting any longer, Vienna would already be at the airport.

Henry: What, she's leaving?

Maddie: Yeah, isn't that why you're here? To stop her?

Henry: No, I just came by to thank her for some advice she gave me about Katie.

Maddie: Forget about Katie. Okay, you need to go in there and tell Vienna how much you love her, before you lose her for good.

Henry: You're contradicting yourself here. On my wedding day, you didn't want me to marry her. You wanted me to wait for the right person and true love.

Maddie: Well, right, but now I know that Vienna is the right person for you. You love her, Henry. You're just too afraid to admit it.

Henry: I've given up on love. It's much easier that way.

Maddie: Coward.

Henry: Definitely.

Maddie: So you're going to lose Vienna now because you don't want to lose her down the line? Does that make any sense?

Henry: It'll hurt a lot less if I don't invest any more of myself, okay?

Maddie: No. You're wrong, okay? Because if you lose Vienna now, it's always going to hurt. I mean, look at me and Casey. Okay, we love each other, but we can't be together. Whereas, you and Vienna, in spite of everything, she still loves you. And there's a chance there. She still loves you and she's just waiting for you to come around. All you have to do is knock on the door.

Henry: Yeah, and then apologize. And then, god knows what else.

Maddie: Just knock. Tell her what's in here, okay?

[ Knock on the door ]

Vienna: I don't know, Nicky. I have my fingers crossed that it's the police, telling me that the jewels --

Vienna: You know where to send the jet, don't you? I love Greece in the spring. It's so sensual. I will. Okay, bye. I'm sorry, Henry. I was making travel plans.

Henry: I take it you've heard from the prince.

Vienna: No, not yet. Not personally. Come on in.

Henry: Yeah, just for a minute.

Vienna: Some of my old friends, they had that Adolpho, he's willing to forgive me if he gets his jewels back.

Henry: So, you are forgiven?

Vienna: No. Not yet. But the word must be out, because the phone has been ringing all morning.

Henry: The worries are over.

Vienna: Well, the only worries I have now is where to go and who to stay with. I'm just overwhelmed.

Henry: I knew you had a lot of friends. I just didn't realize how many.

Vienna: They did seem to disappear when I had to give up my inheritance. But now that I have my money back.

Henry: Everybody wants you.

Vienna: No, Henry. Not everyone.

Henry: I know you think I don't appreciate you, but I do, Vienna.

Vienna: Appreciation isn't what I want, Henry.

Henry: See. There -- right there. You're amazing. You get to the heart of the matter faster than anyone I've ever met.

Vienna: No, let's talk about your heart, Henry.

Henry: We will. We will. Look, I want you to know -- [ Cell phone ringing ] You're not gonna get that?

Vienna: No, they can leave a message. You were saying what? You want me to know what?

Henry: I want you to know -- that umm -- I think it was so generous of you to be concerned about Katie's reaction to Simon coming back. I mean, considering your history with the guy.

Vienna: You want to talk about Simon and Katie?

Henry: Just that thanks to you, she was prepared in case she ran into him. I took your advice and I warned her.

Vienna: Well, what did she have to say?

Henry: That he's a con man and she wouldn't be bothered if she saw him. But I'm pretty sure she wasn't so confident in that.

Vienna: Of course she would be bothered. She loved him and he threw her love away. Some women never get over that.

[ Cell phone ringing ]

Henry: Whoever that person is, is really persistent.

Vienna: If you have nothing more to say, I better take this.

[ Cell phone ringing ]

Henry: Yeah -- I guess I've said everything. I'll let myself out. Okay?

Vienna: I'll call you back. Oh, Henry.
